I believe that websites should be easy for the customer to read and navigate.  Your customer should be able to locate and purchase any item quickly!

Fancy graphics and sound can distract the customer from focusing on and buying your products.  Graphics and other items should be used only to enhance the sale of your products, not be the center of attention.
